Free ShippingThe CaliMar above ground pool models are stronger empty than many other above ground pools are when they’re full. The top rails are a true 8” across when measuring from edge to edge. Other manufacturers that claim to be 8” wide are measuring around the circumference of the top rail. If the CaliMar top rails were measured using the same method, they would be over 12” wide.

The pool liners which are standard in the CaliMar pool packages are True Mil thickness liners and not gauge thickness.
Why does that matter? Gauge is a matter of subjection and any manufacturer can state their gauge thickness to be whatever suits their marketing needs.
Mil is an exact international measurement for measuring thickness. This measurement is only done using a micrometer. All of the liners packaged with the CaliMar® pools are Mil thickness liners. Thus, CaliMar pool liners are about 20% heavier than other liners on the market because of the true nature of the virgin vinyl material and zero use of plasticizers and fillers.
