Is there a way to clean the pool faster than 3 hours?

Yes. The Hayward Tiger shark QC model RC9990CUB has a 90 minute Quick Clean function and the TigerShark model RC9955CUB comes with a remote control making it the perfect standard 3 hour cleaner and the perfect "spot" cleaner.

Does the dirt just get 'swept up' into the cleaner and collected in a bag?

No. The power suction from the On-Board pump creates a vortex of suction to pull both water and debris off of the pool floor and passes the water through a set of two cartridge filter elements to clean the water as it also scrubs the bottom and walls.

Do the cartridge filter elements need to be cleaned?

Yes. It's good practice to clean the cartridge elements after 24 hours of use. Cleaning the elements is a breeze as you simply take them out of the bottom of the unit, hose them off and put them back.

Does the TigerShark require a Booster Pump or Special Hoses?

The Hayward TigerShark pool cleaner is a self contained cleaning unit. There are no hoses or additional equipment such as pumps needed for this unit to operate as it's been designed. You only need a 115 Volt 60 Hz grounded outlet to plug into.

My pool is 18' x 36' will it clean my pool?

What pool surfaces will this pool cleaner clean?

Tigershark pool cleaners are designed to be more of a universal inground pool cleaner. They are out of the box designed to work on Vinyl, Concrete, Plaster, Fiberglass, Pebble and even tile pools.
Though on tile pools additional foam rollers may be required depending upon the slipperiness of the tile. The foam rollers can always be ordered separately and if needed.
